Light and her sister Rain were born to a unknown she-cat, it's also unknown if she was a Rogue or just a Loner. Since the day they were born, they were neglected by their mother, a she-cat way TOO young to have kits and always acted like they were a bother to her. Even so, she was always out of their nest and would always come back with low prey, but still gave some to the kits anyway. Because she was always out, those two can't really talk that well, spelling some words wrong.

But even so, they loved their mother very much, she still took care of them. Light was always the realistic, pessimist and shy one, Rain often had to cheer her up, but this didn't bother her sister that much, she always loved her. One rainy day, their mother acted strange, she suddenly got up from their nest and walked out running, telling them to wait. They waited and waited, and their mother eventually got back, she seemed... Happy, relieved. It somehow scared the little she-kits, but they were happy for their mother. But... they way she stared at them... She seemed sad. A feeling that those two knew very well, along with the loneliness and the empitiness, they just didn't knew how to name it.

The next morning it was still raining and they woke up quickly thanks to the cold, only to find their mother not there again. It wasn't a surprise to them, she would eventually come back, so they did what thay have always done. Waited. Waited for hours, for days. But she didn't came back, the rain just getting stronger... Rain was extremely worried for her mother but Light knew better. She wasn't coming back. Some minutes passed and the rain calmed, so they decided to get out of the den for the first time on their lives. It was really scary for Light. She walked quietly and sobbing, ready to cry any second now. How would they survive? They loved their mother so much... How could she...?

Soon, they've found some animals dead thanks to the heavy rain. For one or two weeks they have been wandering around, surviving by crow-food since they don't even know how to hunt, always never getting too far of the den they once shared with their mother. What awaits those two now?
